The main goal of LASED (Land Allocation for Social and Economic Development) which covers three pilot provinces is to integrate rural development assistance to contribute to the improvement of people’s livelihoods and to poverty reduction.

In the second phase, the objective of LASED’s component 3 (Land Allocation) is defined as follows “Socially disadvantaged population groups will be more favourably considered in the distribution of state land”.

In order to achieve this goal, the project will continue to support the improvement of the standard of living of the LASED land recipients but also contribute partly to the new PPP approach of GIZ, i. e. promote the cooperation between Economic Land Concessions (ELC) and Social Land Concessions (SLC).

  • Legalisation of land occupancy and the Public-Private-Partnership approach (PPP)
  • Livelihood consolidation of LASED land recipients
