The project is about the preparation and moderation of a workshop on the subject of the systematic integration of disaster risk management measures in operational plans. The basis for this is the “Policy Guidance on Integrating Climate Change Adaptation into Development Co-operation” decreed by the OECD; this guidance was adapted to the specific topic accordingly.

After an introduction to the topic and the explanation of important technical terms, the workshop used the Harvard Case Method in order to raise the participants’ awareness for the needs arising within the context of disaster risk management step by step via four modules as well as to point out and select possibilities of reducing the vulnerability.

Technical experts working for government organisations and NGOs on national, province and town level of Portuguese-speaking countries are the target group.
